Abstract

 Revayate Fath includes documentary films that recorded eight years of resistance of the popular forces. The significance of this series lies not only in recording the military and historical events, but also in the concepts which was accompanied by great pleasure at the time, and even now it has been widely distributed from national media. This is while the audience reading process among the younger generation of such media products can be different and sometimes is distorted or lack of attention. The main goal of the research is meaning analysis and feasibility of narrative analysis of the war documentary film. The research method is qualitative, with an analytical approach. This research was applied and aimed at discovering the implied meanings in a war documentary film, then case “Reza” selected purposefully from Revayate Fath series. After identifying the production method of the film, the explanation and meaning analysis of the underlying concepts was discussed according to Nichols mode and Barthes' five-level codes. The perception of the documentary "Reza" is due to the arrangement of implicit signifiers that through the verbal system and the Intra-text narrator refers the audience to the outside of the text and takes place through the chosen method.
