Media is a way through which the system is reproduced in society. Identifying the type of masculinity depicted in the series Setayesh is one the objectives of the paper. First, 27 scenes were selected from scenes representing patriarchy and masculinity to determine their explicit and implicit implications after analyzing semiotics at the micro level. Then the symbols extracted at micro level were analyzed in relation to the overall context of Iranian society with regard to discursive semiotics approach.  The most important result of the research shows that the masculinity represented in this series is of the punishment masculinity through which father's violence, domination and conscience are prioritized in the family structure. This series presents a kind of weakened masculinity by representing and disseminating new forms of masculinity that are in conflict with the suitable pattern with indigenous culture. In this way, it doubts the existence and ideology of the patriarchal system. The imagination in this series is that the media, with regard to other external and environmental factors, criticize the stability of patriarchal order and provide an unstable picture of the patriarchal system. On the succession, such a system is replaced by patriarchal order withoutreplacing a desirable or conventional pattern</em></em> <strong>پدرسالاری مفهومی است که با اعمال قدرت، نفوذ، اقتدار و حجیت مرد در چارچوب خانواده قوام می‌گیرد. رسانه‌ها ازجمله محمل‌هایی هستند که با استمداد از آنها این نظام در جامعه بازتولید می‌شود. بر این اساس، شناسایی نوع مردانگی به تصویر کشیده شده در این سریال از اهداف مقاله حاضر بوده است. بر همین اساس، ابتدا 27 صحنه از صحنه‌هایی که نظام پدرسالاری و مردانگی را بازنمایی کرده‌اند، انتخاب شده‌اند تا پس از تحلیل نشانه‌شناسی در سطح خرد، دلالت‌های صریح و ضمنی آنها مشخص شود. در گام بعدی، با در نظر گرفتن رویکرد نشانه‌شناسی گفتمانی، نشانه‌های استخراج شده در سطح خرد در ارتباط با بافت کلی جامعه ایرانی مورد تحلیل و واکاوی قرار گرفته است. مهم‌ترین نتیجه پژوهش، نشان می‌دهد؛ مردانگی بازنمایی شده در این سریال از نوع مردانگی کیفر‌رسان است که در آن خشونت، سلطه‌گری و تحکم پدر در ساختار خانواده اولویت می‌یابد. این سریال با بازنمایی و اشاعه شکل‌هایی نوین از مردانگی که با الگوی متناسب با فرهنگ بومی جامعه در تعارض است، نوعی مردانگی تضعیف شده را به نمایش می‌گذارد و به این ترتیب، موجودیت و ایدئولوژی نظام پدرسالار را، مورد تردید قرار می‌دهد. تصویرسازی در این سریال به گونه‌ای است که رسانه، در کنار سایر عوامل بیرونی و محیطی، قانون ثبات نظم پدرسالارانه را به بوته نقد می‌کشد و تصویری متزلزل از نظام پدرسالاری ارائه می‌دهد؛ چنین نظامی در محور جانشینی، جایگزین نظام پدرسالاری با مؤلفه‌های مثبت می‌‌شود؛ بی‌آنکه الگویی مطلوب یا متعارف جانشین آن شود.</strong> http://cr.iribresearch.ir/article_26820_1d9aa373bc6d83a320559b9b7261db73.pdf
