Media representation of the world using stereotypical and cliché images will shape individuals’ understanding of different phenomena in the world. Such an understanding will be considered sometimes as a pillar against which people judge and treat world’s phenomena which, in turn, brings about bad consequences at both social and individual levels. In this article the role of media in representing the image of mental illness and the mentally-ill people is studied. Reviewing the literature of the subject shows that most of the media productions, particularly those of cinema and TV, present a distorted image of mental illnesses and the mentally- ill people. Depicting such an image will not only form negative attitudes towards these patients and even the professionals working in the field, but also will have a negative effect on the process of curing such patients and on the mental security of the society.}, keywords = {Media Representation,Mental illness,Mentally – ill People,Stereotypical Images,Media Effects}, title_fa = {بازنمایی بیماری روانی و افراد مبتلا به اختلالات روانی در رسانه‌ها}, abstract_fa = {امروزه رسانه‌های جمعی، بویژه تلویزیون نقش بسیار مهمی در ادارک مخاطبان از جهان واقعی دارند. بازنمایی رسانه‌ای جهان در چهارچوب تصاویر کلیشه‌ای و قالبی، باعث شکل‌گیری ادراک و شناخت طبقه‌بندی‌شده از پدیده‌های مختلف می‌شود. چنین ادراکی گاه مبنای قضاوت افراد دربارة پدیده‌ها و برخورد با آنها قرار می‌گیرد و پیامدهای نامطلوبی در سطح فردی و اجتماعی برجا می‌گذارد. در این مقاله، نقش رسانه‌ها در بازنمایی تصویر بیماری روانی و افراد مبتلا به اختلالات روانی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. بررسی ادبیات پژوهشی در این گستره، نشان می‌دهد که بیشتر تولیدات رسانه‌ای، بویژه فیلم‌های سینمایی و مجموعه‌های تلویزیونی، تصویری تحریف‌شده و مخدوش از بیماری روانی و افراد مبتلا به اختلالات روانی ارائه می‌دهند. نمایش چنین تصویری، نه‌تنها باعث شکل‌گیری نگرش‌های منفی به بیماران روانی و حتی متخصصان این حوزه می‌شود بلکه بر فرایند درمان بیماری‌های روانی و امنیت روانی جامعه تأثیر منفی می‌گذارد.}, keywords_fa = {بازنمایی رسانه‌ای,بیماری روانی,افراد مبتلا به اختلالات روانی,تصاویر کلیشه‌ای,اثرات رسانه‌ها}, url = {https://cr.iribresearch.ir/article_24305.html}, eprint = {https://cr.iribresearch.ir/article_24305_5c506764403428ae091ecb1a3b12ed1f.pdf} }
