This study aimed to identify factors affecting Isis military success in Iraq and Syria to find confronting approaches with it. With assumption that the role of psychological factors in success of ISIS is more than the military power, 65 images, and videos that uploaded in twitter in June 2014 (at time of invading the Mosul, Iraq) have selected. In addition, in order to analyze them, we used the analytical-descriptive sort of qualitative approach. And our research findings indicate that they are using mental warfare such as controlled news release, test the enemy, the enemy, tear truth telling, pretense instead of the truth, exaggeration, divisiveness, gossip, use of sentimentality of audience, demoralize the opponent and shows a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
