Abstract
Today, music plays a key role in radio, so much so that a wide range of music radios could be spotted in the media sky; this is due to the nature of music, its function in the current social environment as well as its special position in radio production. Thus, one could figure out a trilateral relationship between radio, music functions and social environment which brings about the media companies and listener’s propensity towards music radios. In fact, radio’s need to use music and the music’s dependence on radio as well as the relationship between new contexts and situations in social environment and these two, allow each to have an effective presence together in social environment. Bringing lights to these three elements expresses an interpretation of a range of rationales behind “Radio Ava” which is a music radio, and sheds lights on its necessity. This radio has unique attributes which enable it to have a consistent share of audience. Radio Ava broadcasts instrumental non-vocal as well as vocal music and solos on a regular basis. This radio’s lyrics and songs enjoy good content; that’s why this radio is called “Pak Music” (Clean Music).
