Abstract
More than 1,500 programs are produced annually by programing teams for IRIB TV channels in Iran, but only a few of them can be successful in producing as brand. The study conducted using grounded theory method to explain success in TV programming teams. Data was collected through deep interview (from 15 successful TV programs directors and producers) with judgment purposive sampling, and then analyzed through three stages of coding (open, axial, and selective). The research findings indicate that when teams are successfully organized (causal condition), they eventually reach to high level of maturity (Central Fenomenal). Team maturity along with the organization adaptation, team (context factors) and the maintenance charges, as well as attracting audience (intervening factors) are unified to team excellence, and the outcome will be team success.
