Abstract
The function of producing, publishing, and distributing news and informing is very important for IRIB recent and in the future. This research analized 24 expert opinions about the effective trends and drivers on newsroom in the next 5 years (2018 to 2023), encompasses 3 drivers: changes in audience, changes in technology, and changes in news content, and 30 trends, by delphi method in three stages. The results showed that the possibility of measuring the news taste of the audience using new methods, no limiting audience to traditional media news, and the widespread interaction of users with news sections are the most important uncertainties affecting the future of news in the context of audience changes. The most important uncertainties in the field of news technology include the high penetration of smartphones, ease of reproduction of analogue and digital audio/videos in the larg scale, and the reporter's procedure as a mediator and facilitator rather than news gatekeeper. Also, in the field of news content, news dissemination and then approve it, to pay attention to the extraction (analysis and interpretation) in the traditional media due to the prosperity of short and capsulate news, and the impact of most click and visited news on the goatekeeping, can be the most important uncertainties.
