Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the The Relationship between Media Literacy with the use of Cyberspace and Media news Acceptance among students. The research method was descriptive-correlation studies. The statistical population of the research is all secondary school students of Ardabil city in the academic year of 2021-2022, of which a sample size of 380 people was selected using available sampling method. The return of the questionnaire was 360 items. To collect data, researcher-made questionnaires were used. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by the opinion of the professors and its reliability was confirmed through Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data were analyzed through Pearson's correlation coefficient and one-way analysis of variance in SPSS26 software. The results showed that there is no significant relationship between media literacy and the use of virtual space. There is a negative relationship between media literacy and its components with acceptance of media news. Among the demographic variables, the relationship between academic field and media literacy and acceptance of media news and the relationship between type of media and the amount of use of virtual space and acceptance of media news were significant. In general, the results of this research had significant achievements in both the theoretical and practical fields, so that by strengthening media literacy, students' awareness and skills in the field of media news and information can be increased and acceptance of false and unreal news in the environment. Virtually prevented.
