Abstract

The purpose of this research was to design model of barriers to launching specialized media in order to develop sports tourism. A qualitative research with a systematic exploratory approach was chosen. The statistical population included two parts of human resources (professors and managers) and information sources (books, articles, documents, media). Sampling was done in a sufficient number and with a judgment method based on reaching theoretical saturation (18 people). Research tools included systematic library study and structured exploratory interviews. The validity of the instrument was evaluated and confirmed based on the validity of the sample, the opinion of experts and the agreement between the correctors. In order to analyze the findings, a multi-stage conceptual coding method with a systemic analysis approach was used. Based on the extracted conceptual framework, it included 7 categories and 26 open codes. The results of selective coding showed that political factors are present as a factor in the macro environment and planning has an impact on the content, financial, human and facilities. The attitudinal factor also affects human resources, planning. The financial factor affects the content and the human factor as well as the facilities factor affects the content. Based on the results, it can be said that we will remove obstacles such as the existence of contractionary policies in the country's media, the limitations caused by filtering in the country's media, and the existence of political parties in the sports media.
