Abstract

Improper implementation of outsourcing leads to many damages. In the current situation that the IRIB TV needs to use outsourcing services, it should always be evaluated so that if there is a discrepancy between the results obtained and the expected results, the method of implementation should be reconsidered. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to evaluate the conditions of the outsourcing of content production in the IRIB TV and to identify the damages of implementing this strategy. To achieve this goal, the current research was conducted with a qualitative approach and using thematic analysis method. A semi-structured interview method has been used to collect data. The research community includes 20 general and operational managers of IRIB, Domestic producers and independent producers. The findings of the research, following the process of induction and analysis, were counted in five comprehensive dimensions. Based on that, "unprofessional selection of the supplier", "improper program estimation mechanism", "Weakness of outsourcing internal management" and "improper supervision of the outsourcing process" are some of the damages of implementing the outsourcing of content production in the IRIB TV. The results show that the outsourcing strategy in IRIB TV is being implemented without a specific mechanism and instruction.
