The present article aims to shed lights on "Water and Wastewater Department" outstanding issues, priorities and the way its managers and experts think the company's news and developments are covered on TV Channel One and Five. The research population in the content analysis consisted of all news stories broadcast on these two TV channels during summer and autumn 1393 (Iranian Calendar). The department's professionals and experts were also surveyed using clustered sampling. A researcher-made questionnaire was used as the tool for collecting data, and two-dimensional descriptive table was employed for testing the hypotheses. The findings show that only 1.5 percent of the news stories covered in these two channels were allocated to water-related issues, and around half of the stories lasted no more than 30 seconds. The most frequent water-related news stories were broadcast at lower preferences. Furthermore, there was a significant difference between preferred preference, time lapse, sources and the manner of coverage in views of professionals with those of real coverage on these two channels.
