Producing news stuff in newsrooms is highly influenced by inter- and intra-organizational factors. In the present paper intra-organizational factors have been investigated and the role of such variables as structure, culture, and human resources in the quality and quantity of TV news have been determined. This article is based on a survey-based research which used a researcher-made questionnaire to collect data. The population consisted of 530 individuals mostly IRIB News Agency staff, of which some 112 were selected as samples. Findings indicate that all intra-organizational factors play a role in the quality and quantity of news stories; according to the findings, organizational structure as the most influential factor in newsroom has the greatest role in the quality and quantity of news stories. Illustrating the distinguished role of such factors as integration (3.67), technology (3.55), obligation (3.36), equipment (3.30) and professionalism (3.25) in the quality and quantity of news stories, this research reveals the necessity of media managers' attention to empowering human resources, equipping newsrooms with modern information and communication technologies and facilities.
