Over the past years, the IRIB has produced programs with the aim of preserving, teaching, and promoting the standard Persian language. The evaluation of these programs is the main objective of this qualitative research, which was concluded through in-depth interviews with language and media experts. According to experts, the programs produced, while effective, also have some disadvantages. Most interviewees emphasized the repetitiveness, one-dimensionality, and similarity of the programs, and listed the lack of a specific language strategy, temporary nature, haste in production, and inattention to the audience as among their most important disadvantages. Experts believed that in order to produce desirable programs, in addition to precise language and media policy-making and planning, it is necessary to attract academic colleagues and experts in various scientific fields (including literary scholars, linguists, media experts, and media education experts), taking into account the diverse range of media audiences and allocating an appropriate budget, to strive to produce excellent and sustainable programs. Also, with the aim of attracting maximum benefit, these programs can be republished through various platforms in cyberspace. Attention to media and interactive appeals and being two-way will be other reasons for the success and desirability of the programs. It seems that an ideal educational and promotional program for the standard language should be continuous, exemplary, interactive, entertaining, internalizing linguistic norms, justice-oriented, measurable, multimedia, and flexible to changes.
