The expansion of artificial intelligence applications within the media ecosystem, while providing opportunities to enhance content production, can challenge the quality and cohesion of the Persian language in the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in the absence of a strategic framework. The present study aims to design a strategic model for the application of artificial intelligence to preserve the Persian language within this organization, seeking to strike a balance between technological innovation, media efficiency, and linguistic-cultural requirements.



This applied-developmental research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data were collected in two phases: documentary (to develop the initial framework) and field research. In the field phase, in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with 8 experts in the fields of media, the Persian language, and artificial intelligence, selected through purposive sampling until conceptual saturation was reached. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, and the reliability of the coding was confirmed by Holsti’s coefficient. Based on the findings, 104 basic themes, 37 organizing themes, and 5 global themes were identified. The dimensions of the model include “Leadership and Policymaking,” “Technology and Infrastructure,” “Intelligent Linguistic Production and Monitoring,” “Education and Culture-building,” and “Continuous Assessment and Improvement.”



The results indicate that the proposed model, by integrating policymaking, linguistic infrastructures, content monitoring, human resource training, and continuous assessment, provides a framework for the purposeful application of artificial intelligence and the enhancement of linguistic governance in the national media.
